Traveller Information - Venue

The conference will be held at Autónoma University of Lisbon, on July 1st-3rd 2013. Autónoma University main campus is located into the city centre (nearby Marquês de Pombal, approximately 4 minutes walking), as you may observe from the following map.

Marquês de Pombal is a turntable for transportation from and to the airport, as well as for accommodation (see accommodation page). The potential options for travelling from the airport until this location are:

Taxis

Taxis are within the airport perimeter and usually the journey takes around 15 minutes until Marquês de Pombal. Taxi fares are 2,50€ (within the city and day time pick-up), as well as for luggage or animals is charged 1,60€. Payment options are: cash and credit card (in some cases).

An additional charge, 20%, will be added on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, as well during night time service (from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.). Even so, during the day the estimated cost for the journey will be 15€. Local rules for tipping are related with the driver help with luggage and kindness, so it depends of each participant analysis. 1/2€ is considered a good tip.

Therefore, the organising committee recommends that participants inquire about the fare before taking a taxi, as well as the acceptance of credit card. For further enquiries please go to Tourism Information Counter in the airport´s Arrivals Hall.

Important note:
In order to help participants organise their travelling and minimising their costs, a ride sharing tool is available into CEPE website.

Aerobuses

The aerobus travels daily departures from the airport to Marquês de Pombal, however requiring connection with the subway (see below).
